"Any person who regularly writes, reports or edits sports news for any wire service based in Louisiana or any newspaper regularly circulated in Louisiana shall be eligible for regular membership. 

 

Any person primarily engaged in disseminating sports information or publicity of professional organizations or race tracks, or publicists of non-profit organizations sponsoring or governing sports events in Louisiana shall be eligible for regular membership.

 

Any person primarily engaged in dissemination of information or describing, commenting or reporting on sports regularly on licensed Louisiana radio and television stations shall be eligible for regular membership.

The Louisiana Sports Writers Association produces weekly high school football polls. We  select All-State teams in prep football, girls and boys basketball, baseball, softball and track and All-Louisiana teams in college football, golf, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball and cross country.  We also sponsor the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
